2015 Rainbow Exchange Program

The Japanese Chamber of Commerce Foundation is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its 17th annual Rainbow Exchange Program. This is a 2 week Stay-and-Study Program in Japan offered in cooperation with the Ashinaga Ikueikai of Japan. If selected, the Rainbow Exchange Student will depart LAX on Wednesday, August 12th and return to LAX on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.

Qualifications:

  1. Applicant must be 18-23 years old actively enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college/university degree program
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  3. Must have strong interest in enhancing personal knowledge about Japanese culture and/or U.S.-Japan relations
  4. Must have some ability to understand and speak Japanese language
  5. Either or both parents are deceased (death certificate or any proof of parent’s death is needed) or permanently disabled (certification of disability by a physician must be provided)
  6. Must hold a valid passport at the time of departure, with at least one year validity left
