Jan. 24 Year End Charity Drive Donatin Presentation

On Friday January 24, 2013 Year-End Charity Drive Presentation of Donations was held at 
Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California Conference Room.
MCed by JCCSC officer Ms. Kitty Sankey, her opening remarks started the ceremony.

Welcome greetings by the committee chair and Senior Vice President Mr. Kaz Kishita and President Mr. Yoshio Aoki 
followed.

The donations from 2013 Year-end Charity drive was donated to three organizations.
One of the purpose of 2013 Year End Charity was the Phillipine Typhoon desaster relief and the first organization 
who received the donation was the Philoppino American Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Shirley Lumanog was present with 
Mr. Lumanog, to receive the donation from Committee Chair Mr. Kishita. Mrs. Lumanog and Ms. Mary Joy Ramirez, 
the Deputy Consul General of the Philippines, gave a word of appreciation to JCCSC.

Secondary, from one of the dedicated cooperating organization, Southern California Showa Kai, Mr. Seiji Horio 
presented the donation to Japanese Community Pioneer Center. Mr. Mack Miyazaki from Pioneer Center, who was 
one of the founder of the Year End Charity Drive years ago, expressed his thankfullness in his speech.

Finally, President Mr. Yosho Aoki presented the donation to Kizuna, a organization dedicated to develop and 
support the Japanese American youth community and activities. Craig Ishi, Exective Director of Kizuna received 
the donation and made a speech of appreciation.

At the end of ceremony, delicious cake from Yamazaki Bakery have entertained all that present.

We are very glad to be able to support Japanese Community Pioneer Center, Kizuna and those who suffer from 
Philippine Tyhoon, with our Charity drive and donations collected by the program. donations. We sincerely hope 
the rapid recovery for tyhoon-devastated Philippines and further development of activities for Pioneer 
Center and Kizuna!
